Citrix Virtual Desktop Access

If you are need to use a Citrix XenDesktop machine, try following these steps to log into and access an available virtual desktop that has either been assigned to you or an available machine from a pool that has been assigned to you.

NOTE: You must be working in the main office, one of the remote offices or logged into Mueller via VPN to access the Citrix virtual desktops.

Instructions

  1. Open a browser and and go to https://remote.mueller-inc.com

  2. You may see the following if this is the first time you have ever accessed the virtual desktop site

    1. Click on Detect Receiver

    2. You will then see the following; check “I agree…” and click Download

    3. Once downloaded, you will see CitrixWorkspaceApp.exe in the lower left corner of your web browser. Double-click on that to run the downloaded file.

       

    4. Follow the prompts to install Citrix Workspace

       

       

       

    5. Once installation is complete, back in the web browser, click Continue

       

    6. You may receive the following prompt; check “Always allow…” nd then click “Open Citrix Workspace Launcher” button

    7. Click “Switch to user name and password” link below the Log On button

       

  3. Enter your credentials in the format depicted <domain>\<username> and your password and then click “Log On” button

  4. From the portal, click the DESKTOPS tab and then select one of the available machines assigned to you by single-clicking on the icon.

    NOTE: You may see something different than the once in the picture below.

    If you would like the selected machine to be a favorite, check the star and it will place it on tje HOME screen.

     

  5. The ICA connection file will file download to the bottom left of your web browser. Double-click on the file to open it.

     

  6. Your machine should start up.
