365 Desktop Apps - Mueller Issued Laptop (Business Standard License)

These instructions are designed for users logging into Desktop based Microsoft 365 apps from a Mueller Issued Laptop for the first time.

OVERVIEW OF STEPS:

  1. Confirm apps are installed by clicking the windows icon on the desktop and search for individual apps such as outlook, word, excel etc.

  2. Open Outlook and enter your email address.

  3. Check the box “Let me set up my account manually” under advanced options and then connect

  4. Select “Exchange”.

  5. Enter your email password and complete “More Information required” if prompted.

  6. Uncheck the box “Allow my organization to manage my device and then click “OK”.

  7. If prompted for Offline Settings, uncheck box to “Use Cached Exchange Mode” and click “NEXT”.

  8. Account should say successfully added. If so, uncheck box “Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too” and click “DONE”.

  9. A page should now display to “SIGN IN TO SET UP OFFICE”. Sign in with your email and password once more.

  10. If a banner displays describing some features being disabled, click the “Activate” button.

  11. Lastly you may receive a prompt displaying “Office has been updated” and to close out and restart any opened 365 apps. After doing so, you should now be all set for all 365 apps!
