For users who have received an expiring password notification for their network password, please see the appropriate document below. Use the appropriate instructions for assistance in changing your Mueller network password. This is the password used to logon to your computer while at Mueller, through an RDP (remote desktop) connection or via Citrix. This is NOT for changing the password for you Mueller website account, nor is it for changing the password to the Field Services email server account.

VPN Users

If you are a VPN user and your password has expired, when you connect to the Mueller VPN, you will be required to change your password.

Please note that this process is based on your computer type.

  • If your computer is domain joined and you are logging in using your Mueller credentials, you will be required to use the connect before login function to change your password. The instructions for that process can be found here: FortiClient VPN Login Guide
  • If you are using a Mueller supplied computer, but are using a general login (MuellerUser), then you will need to login using that and then connect to the VPN.
  • If you are using a personal computer, you will need to login using that and then connect to the VPN.

Select the type of user you are:

Jump to Mueller Password Rules:

Internal User

  1. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del on the keyboard
  2. Hit Change a Password

  3. Enter your old password (current), followed by your new password twice and then click the Arrow button or press Enter on your keyboard to update your password

Remote Desktop User

If you are using a Remote Desktop Connection to connect to your work desktop and you need to change the password, unfortunately the Ctrl+Alt+Del command does not work for the remote computer. It will only bring up the change password function on the local computer used to access the remote computer.

To bring up the Change a password:

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+End (Not the "Delete" key, must be the "End" key)

  2. Select Change a password

  3. Enter your old password (current), followed by your new password twice and then click the Arrow button or press Enter on your keyboard to update your password

Citrix User

Via Web Site

If your password is about to expire, when connecting to the Citrix web site at https://remote./mueller-inc.com, after logging in, you will be asked to change your password. You will have the option to change it or belay that and remind you later.

If your password is not expired or about to expire but you still wish to change it, you can always change your password whenever you like using the following instruction:

  1. If you are a remote user, you must first connect to the VPN

REMINDER: The VPN process will force a password change if it has already expired.

  2. Open Chrome and browse to https://remote.mueller-inc.com
  3. Login using your Mueller credentials
  4. Once logged in, click on the gear (top right) and select Account Settings
  5. From the Setting screen, click on Change Password and then follow the prompts to change your password
  6. Click OK to complete the password change.

Via Citrix XenDesktop

If you are using a Remote Citrix desktop and you need to change the password, unfortunately pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Del keyboard sequence command does not work to bring up the "Change a password..." function. It will only bring up the change password function on the local computer used to access the Citrix desktop computer.

To bring up the "Change a password..." function follow the instructions below. Please note that Windows 10 Citrix desktops may be aesthetically different but follow the same prompts.

  1. Click on the down arrow in the Citrix tools
  2. Click on Ctrl+Alt+Del button
  3. Select "Change a password..." from the list
  4. Enter your old password (current), followed by your new password twice and then click the Arrow button or press Enter on your keyboard to update your password.
