Other

If you followed the instructions to a T and you're still having problems, there are few things you can do that can help solve some common issues.

No Microphone is detected:

  1. Webcam: If you use a laptop with a webcam, but you use an external webcam, you might run into the issue where the laptop device doesn't know which one to use. Try unplugging the external webcam and then restarting your laptop device before plugging the external webcam back in try and see if your Teams detects the laptop's internal microphone.

  2. Windows is not up to date: Sometimes, Windows updates can interfere with software. So in the bottom left of your laptop or workstation, click the Windows logo and then type "Check for Updates" and install any available updates. Once those updates have installed themselves, restart your computer so they can finish installing and check to see if that fixed your Team's microphone issues.

  3. External Microphone: If you are using a USB stand-alone microphone or a USB headset with a microphone, sometimes changing the USB port in which the microphone was plugged into will fix the issue. If this does not work, then go to the manufacturer's website and try to download the latest drivers for that model of microphone or headset.
